Babes booze and blood are the three basic components used to build an amazing film festival, now just add in a little romance and mystery and you have the official host of our 2009 festival Mr Willy Adkins.

Come meet the Illinois Ghost Hunters at The 2010 Indy Horror Film Festival! They will be in attendance and ready to share many paranormal experiences with you! Founders Willy & George along with special guest Chad Griffiths lead a real investigation at the historic Egyptian Theatre Saturday evening as well! Prepare to enter the mind and see through the eyes of Chicagoland photographer Jim Sorfleet as part of the Art of Horror gallery display at the Indy Horror Film Festival at The Egyptian Theatre! From a young age Chad has been interested in the paranormal and has been investigating the paranormal for several years now. In 2008 Chad founded Paranormal Research of Illinois (PRI). He is also the webmaster of the PRI website and is the Northern Illinois Representative for Troy Taylor’s American Ghost Society. He has also been a freelance photographer for over 13 years. During Chad’s work with Paranormal Research of Illinois, he has had the honor of working with and meeting many well known Investigators such as Keith Age, Willy Adkins and Bob Hunnicutt.

Chad will be in attendance all weekend along with a few members of The Paranormal Research of Illinois team! He will also be a guest host for the Tour & Investigation of the Theatre Saturday evening!

Michael Kleen earned a master’s degree in American history from Eastern Illinois University in 2008. He is the author of numerous books, including Legends and Lore of Illinois, Tales of Coles County, Illinois, Six Tales of Terror, Autumn and Winter: Seasons of Gray, and Paranormal Illinois. Michael has also spoken on local history and folklore at the Rockford Public Library, on WTVO Channel 17, at Teapot’s Café in Beecher, Illinois, Ashmore Estates, Charleston Middle School, and the 2007 Conference on Illinois History in Springfield. Michael is also the publisher and executive editor of Black Oak Presents, a quarterly digital journal of Middle American art and culture. in Chicago.

The Indy Horror Film Festival is Coming Back From the Dead in 2010! You read correctly! After a long absence, the Indy will return May 1st & 2nd @ The Egyptian Theatre in Dekalb IL!

We will also be hosting a "Music of Horror" kick off party on April 30th at The House Cafe in Dekalb featuring Chicago's own Bloodstream Parade!

Also to all of you film makers, the call for submissions will be coming within a week! So have your works ready to send in!
